Where do we go? What walks do we do?

Wales - Snowdonia.

Our centre is Llanberis (6 miles from Caernarfon) a village unique in the history of mountaineering and of Wales. It is an ideal base for our walking holidays. When possible we stay at the Hotel Royal Victoria a 3 star hotel of character with en suite single, double or twin rooms available.

We offer holidays in spring (April and May) and autumn (September, October). When conditions are most likely to be dry and sunny and the hills are at their best. more details ...

Weekends in England -The Lake District.

The English Lake District is unique. It is an area of such outstanding diversity with natural beauty and man made detail at every turn that is best explored on foot.

We base our holidays near Grasmere a beautiful little village easily accessible but close to the centre of the Lakes. The village is famous for its associations with William Wordsworth and you will be walking the paths through the landscape that inspired him. There will be the opportunity to visits Wordsworths home at Rydal Mount and other places associated with him including the old grammar school in Hawkshead where he went to school and St Oswalds church in Grasmere where Wordsworth his wife Mary and sister Dorothy are buried. Sawrey which like Hawkshead is associated with Beatrix Potter will also be included in Easy walking programmes.

We offer holidays from Grasmere in Spring (April and May), and Autumn, (August, September and October). When the weather and the hills are at their best. more details ...

Spain.

For walking in winter we recommend Spain, the most mountainous country in Europe apart from Switzerland. We favour 'La Sierra Marina' the mountain ranges inland of the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante which is part of Valencia. The Costa Blanca has the mildest and pleasantest winter climate in Europe. It is warmer, drier and sunnier than the UK is in summer and you can walk in shorts (but for the cacti) and T-Shirt. The winter avoids the crowds and the scorching heat of summer.

Our holidays are available from Saturday to Saturday. En suite accommodation offering half board with the choice of single, double or twin rooms is available in good hotels. Benidorm the ideal centre from which to enjoy these mountains is a fascinating place with much to offer. more details ...

The French Alps.

Our walking holidays are based in Chamonix in early July, and again in late August and September. These are the best times of the year to walk in the Alps. The deep winter snow has gone, the paths and mountain huts are open, the days are near their longest and sunniest and we avoid the crowded summer high season. more details ...
